Sabzi

Sabzi's subjects are almost always women. They are beautiful, elegant, and taciturn. He treats the human face as luminous geometric planes and reveals his own quest for spirituality.  His earthy hues of pale greens, yellows, purples and reds illuminate the settings and inspire the forms with a sense of innocence.  Born in Iran, Sabzi was influenced a great deal by his mother who designed and wove Persian rugs.  The designs and shapes of Sabzi's art today flow from the same source of energy and creativity that inspired his mother.
